1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 This website is operated by DGate Limited, ("DGate", "our", "we", or "us") (company number: 5742690). We will protect and keep confidential information collected from you as a result of use of this website.

1.2 Links within this site to other websites are not covered by this privacy policy.

1.3 Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Use of our website which incorporates this privacy policy.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION

2.1 "Personal Information" is any information which relates to and identifies you and which you have provided to us or entered in your Space Mail® account or elsewhere on the website, including but not limited to your name and address, email address, age, gender, personal interests, date of birth and occupation.

3. YOUR Space Mail® ACCOUNT

3.1 As a Member, you have an online address book as part of your Space Mail® account to store the names and email addresses of your friends and associates. Your "network" is defined as all the people held within your address book. None of your Personal Information is available to anyone outside your network other than to our authorised employees and contractors. Within your network, only those Space Mail® Members with whom you choose to connect with can access Personal Information you elect to share.

3.2 The "my account" area of your Space Mail® account is where you can access and manage your Personal Information held with DGate. You can control which of your Personal Information is shown to other Members within your network by switching selected data items on and off. In addition, in your address book via "my email security", you can also remove your email address from other Members' address books if desired, and ban it from being re-added if necessary.

4. SECURITY

4.1 Each Space Mail® account on our website is secured by a Username and Password, which the account holder can change at any time. We endeavour to ensure that your Personal Information is kept confidential according to your preferences as selected in your Space Mail® account (see 3.2 above) and take reasonable steps to protect any Personal Information held with our databases.

4.2 We cannot, however, guarantee the security of your Personal Information as it may be compromised by unauthorised access, hardware or software failure or other relevant factors. If you would like to find out more about our security measures, please drop us a line at contactus@spacemail.com.

4.3 We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any Postings on a forum or messages (email or otherwise) transmitted between you, us, other Space Mail® account holders or members of the general public, as the case may be. We will not be liable to you or anyone else for any loss in connection with any message transmitted or Postings made through use of or in connection with our website.

5. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

5.1 Email addresses are stored and used by DGate for the purposes of:

5.1.1 sending email alerts to Members as a notification of any changes within their Space Mail® account, such as a comment posted in relation to a particular event, and for other notification purposes related to the Space Mail® service;

5.1.2 adding users to other Members' address books;

5.1.3 inviting non-Members to join a Member's network or a forum;

5.1.4 notifying Members about our services and any related information or offers which we consider may be of interest;

5.1.5 uniquely identifying Members or visitors to the website;

5.1.6 providing the DGate services.

Within their Space Mail® Account, Members can manage the level of email alerts or switch them off altogether. (This does not apply to email alert notifications of a brand new Space Mail® circle, event or page, or event remainder email alerts controlled by the event organiser).

5.2 We may also provide your name and email address for adding to mailing lists of particular businesses on the commercial pages of the Social Pages if you opt to be added to their mailing list. This is a strictly opt in feature and you will be warned before doing so that your information (only your name and email address) will be revealed to the business.

5.3 We do not use email addresses of non-Members provided to us by a Member for any other purpose other than to invite them to join that Member's network or a forum, or send them event invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations from us may contact us at contactus@spacemail.com should they wish to be removed from our database.
